Falcons, watershows, and really tall buildings

Laid out in the sun by the pool today for 4 hours. No big deal. Actually it was awesome. It was me, Jack Johnson, and Drake, just hanging out getting our tan on. Okay enough of me bragging about the sunshine.

Later in the day, a bunch of us went to the Dubai Mall. The adventures were endless. We were there for about 6 hours and we did tons of awesome stuff and I think I only spent a total of 50 dirhams (about $15) the whole night, including dinner. Such a great time. Here's some pictures:

The center court of the Gold Souk at Dubai Mall. The biggest indoor gold souk in the world. These guys were just hanging out, drinking some Arab coffee, holding their falcons. You know, the usual haha

Turns out they were offering Arabic coffee to everyone for free, and letting anyone hold their pet falcons!! This is Allie, chillin with her coffee and falcon.

Here is me and my new falcon pet. The leather helmet head piece thing is to cover their eyes. The guy said it covers their eyes because if they could see all the people around, they would freak out. In the back left, you can see an Arabic woman demonstrating some traditional weaving techniques. Clearly, I thought the falcon was cooler.

This picture doesn't even begin to capture the magnificance of the Dubai Mall fountain show outside the Burj Khalifa. It was awesome!! Everything went to the sounds of the music. Shows started every half hour. We stayed for two. The first one was awesome with water spraying everywhere. The second show was even better because it included these fire jet flame shooter things. Eventually I'll post the video, it was amazing.

This is where we went on the indoor roller coaster.

Standing in front of a ginormous Christmas tree that was at the Dubai Mall.
This thing was like 4 mall stories high.

The view from the place where we watched the water shows. The huge mass to the right of the picture is the bottom of the Burj Khalifa. That building is so huge you can't even get a picture of the whole thing when you're standing near it.

Dylan making out with a camel statue. This is normal.

A panoramic shot off a balcony in Dubai Mall, overlooking a restaurant and other stores.

Vertical panoramic shot of the Burj Khalifa at night. It's soooo tallll.
